The City of Sand Springs’ Customer Service department consists of 5 office staff and 3 field staff to manage the city’s approximately 13,000 utility customers. Office staff manages the utility billing, electronic meter reading system, phone calls, and payment processing for the following services: water, wastewater (sanitary sewer), solid waste (refuse), stormwater, fire/ first responder, and EMSA (ambulance). Field staff are responsible for maintaining the City’s water meters, including obtaining monthly reads and data, performing water turn on’s and turn offs, and repairing or replacing meters and electronic reading components as needed.
