Quilt Exhibit
Quilt ExhibitAs part of this exhibit, we are looking for individuals with ties to Sand Springs to share their quilts with the community. We would love for you to participate and here are the details.

  • Due to display limitations, we are limited to 40-45 quilts. If more quilts are received than space allows, quilts will be rotated allowing visitors to see a larger variety.
  • Quilts will display in either glass cases or hung.
  • Participants are limited to one quilt each.
  • There is no age requirement for the participants.
  • Entry forms can be picked up at Quilt Nuts at 216 N Main St. The entry form will include a section where you can share the history of the quilt and its ties to Sand Springs.
  • The quilt must have a 4" sleeve attached securely (no pins).
  • Each entry must be submitted in a cloth bag. PLASTICS BAGS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
  • Each entry must have a fabric identification tag including the entrant's name, address and telephone number firmly sewn on the back of the item.
  • The entrant does not have to be the maker.
  • Quilt entries will be dropped off at Quilt Nuts during regular business hours before April 1. Once the exhibit closes, quilts will be available for pick up there as well.
  • All participants will be entered into a drawing for prizes including a $100 gift certificate from Quilt Nuts.

Sand Springs Cultural and Historical Museum will take every precaution to protect the quilts. The exhibit will have monitors on site daily to help ensure its safety.
