The City of Sand Springs on Sunday, June 18th, 2023 was battered with violent, tornado-like winds from a strong storm. The city was unfortunately one of the hardest hit communities. This page will serve as location for information regarding storm recovery and removal of debris. If you have an emergency please contact the City of Sand Springs Non-Emergency Line at (918) 245-8777.

Our contractor will finish today, and the City will make sure that all debris forms that were submitted are completed.  We will be returning to normal operations in regard to trash pick-up.  If you still have any tree debris, our normal guidelines can be found at this link: https://www.sandspringsok.org/DocumentCenter/View/3518/Refuse-Collection-Information

I would like to thank our citizens for the support you have shown us during this disaster.  I would like to thank every City employee and our contractors for the hard work, long hours and diligence in bringing our community back to order.  Finally, I would like to thank our City Council for approving the debris operation to help our citizens after this large storm event.

Building Permit Info

Neighborhood Services with the City of Sand Springs has regained the ability to process permit requests.

PSO plans to restore power and service as they can and will be providing the City of Sand Springs a list of homes/businesses that have requested reconnects that will need to be inspected retroactively.

As a reminder if you received damage to your home or business that may require trade work to be performed then a permit is required. Examples include damaged weather heads/electrical services, roofs, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, etc. If you are unsure what what might be needed please reach out to Neighborhood Services for guidance. Permit fees will be waived and inspections will be needed.
