About SSPD
Officers and citizens are actively engaged in the process of making our community a great place to live by sharing ideas, voicing concerns, and discussing local and regional topics of importance to our community. This collaboration strengthens the culture of our community based on our mission and values.
The Sand Springs Police Department strives to provide high quality and sustainable public services through programs of community policing, crime reduction, and community safety. Our mission is accomplished through hard work and dedication at both the individual and team level. The department is committed to making Sand Springs a better place to live, work and enjoy life.
The Sand Springs Police Department is staffed by 34 full-time sworn officers, eight dispatchers, one records clerk, one administrative assistant, and an IT specialist. The department operates 24 hours a day and integrates leading edge technology. The Sand Springs Police Department embraces the philosophy of transparency. It is important for citizens to know what the police department does and why certain decisions are made.
