Chief John Mars The solemn mission of the Sand Springs Police Department is to provide protection of constitutional rights, protection of life, and reduction of criminal activity. The members of the Sand Springs Police Department are committed to upholding the values of its mission and to fostering community partnerships. Each employee of the department is empowered to provide the best possible service while building and maintaining relationships with the citizens of the community. The Sand Springs Police Department strives each day to leave a legacy of treating each person with dignity and serving the community with honor and dedication to excellence. The Sand Springs Police Department is staffed by 34 full-time sworn officers, eight dispatchers, one records clerk, one administrative assistant, and an IT specialist. The department operates 24 hours a day and integrates leading edge technology. The Sand Springs Police Department embraces the philosophy of transparency.
