City Wins District Court Lawsuit Over Rock Quarry

A Tulsa District Court judge has upheld the City of Sand Springs’ denial of a Specific Use Permit to establish and operate a limestone quarry in south Sand Springs. District Judge Mary Fitzgerald affirmed the findings of fact and conclusions of law submitted by the City in an appeal lawsuit brought by Sand Springs Materials LLC. The firm had asked the court to overturn the Sand Springs Planning Commission’s denial of Specific Use Permit No. 010.
